Reducing Your Carbon Footprint
Gardening
Gardening is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and be more sustainable. Gardens also provide fresh fruits and vegetables for a low cost. Starting a garden does not have to be difficult or expensive! All you need is a small area with soil or some pots, and seeds of the plant of your choice. You can even harvest seeds from fruit that you already bought!
Compost
You can add your compost to your garden for improved growth! Compost puts your trash and scraps to good use, benefitting your plants immensely. Compost provides additional nutrients and vitamins to your plants, helping them to be healthy and strong.
Reminder
Don't forget to research the preferred season and conditions of the plant before adding it to your garden! If you don't know the needs of your garden, your plants won't grow. Make sure to know which fruits and vegetables are able to grow in the climate that you live, how much water they need, and how much room they need.
